The Blue Jeans Pain Scale (Update #3)
I used to call this Tuesday post "The Scale Tales", but I don't like that name anymore. I will just call it what I what to each Tuesday, but the point is the same. I'm going to update you on my fitness journey, which was never my idea to start. You can see how it all began here and how I fared the second week here with all of the temptations.
This is the third week.
I essentially started on August 8th and the plan is that I work out with Sean from Fitness 101 for four months. My goal is to lose 13 pounds. I have lost 4-5 so far. I am averaging two workouts per week, though I am supposed to be doing FOUR. So, I need to work on that, for sure.
The biggest change I've made is what I'm eating. Tempting food is everywhere you go. I am trying to limit the temptations at home but I can't change what I see at other people's houses. Thankfully, Sean and his family were at the last get together I was at, so I saw him in the corner of my eye every time I tried to run away with the bowl of queso. If he hadn't been there, I would have locked myself in a closet with it.
In elementary school, we did a play called "You Are What You Eat". The song went, "You are what you eat from your head to your feet, so be sure to eat what's good for you..." or something like that. You can see by this "Blue Jeans Pain Scale" that I first published in 2010 that I've had this eating issue for some time now. Basically, the skinnier I was, the more bad stuff I thought I could eat until it all caught up with me. Number one on the pain scale are jeans from high school that I would wear when I went dancing at those country places that were popular in 1993. I still have those jeans in my closet. I never plan to wear them again. I just plan to see if I can ever fit back into them.

Can you relate to my pain scale?
You can find Sean's Fitness 101 Facebook page HERE. I am going to help him update it from time to time, so you KNOW I would LOVE to see you over there! I plan on finding humorous exercise-y things to post there, as well as recipes. See you there?
